While many fans are looking forward to using the new Pokemon unveiled in the upcoming games, that is not to say some of the older Pokemon in the series are forgotten. Often, pocket monsters introduced in past generations remain popular, and gamers continue to make impressive fan art featuring these classic Pokemon, such asGengar.

It would likely be an understatement to say that Gengar has been a part of the Pokemon series for a long time. In a post on Reddit, a user known as 3Devious_Art shared a video of a recentPokemon3D card they had designed. In particular, this card stood out because it starred Gengar, who was wearing a menacing grin as it peaked around the corner of a brick wall in what seemed to be a dark alley. In the video, the Reddit user rotated the card in their hand, revealing that it appeared to be constructed of several layers, with the outermost one having a vivid purple color. These multiple layers created the 3D effect of the card that helped to enhance the design even further, making it feel as though there was a sense of depth to the artwork.

This incredible 3DPokemoncard featuring Gengar has created quite the buzz withPokemonfansover the past couple of days. In the time since 3Devious_Art shared the artwork on Reddit, many fans have weighed in on the design and given the post more than 3,000 upvotes. While many loved the look of the card, particular praise went to the 3D effect that the artist was able to create. In addition, fans commented on the expert engraving done to the cardstock. “The engraving on the bricks adds such a wonderful touch to it!” one user pointed out.

It will be interesting to see what type of 3DPokemoncards 3Devious_Art decides to create next. With the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violetonly a few more months away, perhaps they will choose to create fan art featuring some of the new pocket monsters being added to the series. While likely not every Pokemon for the upcoming games has been revealed, there are already a number of options available to make fan art based on, such as thepig Pokemon Lechonkand the olive-like Pokemon known as Smoliv.
